  1. Commonwealth Government Scholarships at the University of Newcastle Australia.

The University of Newcastle Commonwealth Scholarships offer for Masters and PhD degree in the field for any course offered by the university. To be eligible for consideration, applications must include a Pre Identified Candidate Code in their application. Applications without a PIC Code will be automatically deemed unsuccessful for scholarship.

Value of Scholarship: Annual living allowance $26, 682 per anum. The scholarship may also include a relocation allowance (up to $1,500), full tuition fee scholarship, overseas student health cover (OSHC).

Duration of Scholarship: Ph.D. scholarships are for three years and Masters scholarships are for two years, less any tenure already completed towards a research degree.

  1. Australia Awards Post-Doctoral Fellowship for African Academics.

The Post-Doctoral Fellowship provides financial support for African academics affiliated with eligible Ghanaian, Kenyan and South African universities and engaged in research activity.

Value of the Program: include fees that are common for all Awardees and costs that may be applicable depending on individual fellowship conditions.

Duration of Program: Fellowships will be up to two years in total, comprised of research components in both Australia and Ghana, Kenya or South Africa but limited to 12 months in Australia.
