If you are living in the multitude of developing countries in the world, there is a high chance that you do not have access to top notch tertiary education your country.

This is problematic as the students from these countries tend to be massively academically bright but because of the economic problems of the
country, their talents are wasted and never used to full potential thereby promoting redundancy of intelligent minds.
So I am going to be talking about 15 scholarships that wish to help curb this problem, these scholarships are targeted at students from developing countries and wish to give the outstanding students that benefit from them the chance to have world-class education.

The Joint Japan World Bank Group Scholarship Program

This is the first worthy mention and is one that I recommend a lot, This particular Program is open to both women and men who happen to hail from any developing country, provided that the said applicant has relevant professional experience and are applying for masters degree program in any development related course..

The scholarship is quite cool and it sees a huge number of applicants yearly from numerous countries, academic backgrounds, and social statuses.
Its popularity probably stems from the fact that it covers for, tuition, return air travel, it provides a $500 travel allowance, it covers for basic medical and accident insurance, which is something that most scholarship programs don’t do, it’s one of the first to actually start doing that; and it gives a monthlyallowance to cover living expenses.

The MasterCard foundation Scholars programme

This is a cool scholarship programme available to people in developing countries. Its vision is to help educate and develop the minds of the bright yet economically marginalized young people in Africa thus facilitating growth and development in this subtle manner.

The Program was designed to benefit 15,000 young Africans within 8 to 10 years as its first milestone.

This particular scholarship program was set up by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has administered the Australia Awards with the noble vision of contributing to the long-term development needs of Australia’s [partner nations.
It provides students from the Indo-pacific region with the chance of a great and amazing educational life.

The motive of the program is to, to develop the skills of the individuals, use the outcomes for their own country, and continue the cycle of development.

  • Australian Awards Pacific Scholarships

The Awards Pacific Scholarships program is a part of the bilateral development program of Australia that hopes to foster development in other countries.

The selections processes for the scholarship are quite severe and please note that the scholarship is only for students from the Pacific region. The scholarships goal is simple, to develop the skills of these students to help their mother country develop and rise out of the ashes of poverty.

The Alpha Delta Kappa ITE Scholarships

This is another prestigious scholarship for people with leadership aspirations and goals, the scholarship has been around for quite a while, since 1961 in fact, and is one of the most popular scholarships for leadership positions in the whole world.

The scholarship targets students from developing countries and countries outside the USA and is targeted for women. Please note that the deadline for this scholarship yearly is on January 1 st , on the New Year’s Day The scholarship is hosted by the International Teacher Education (ITE) program and aims at providing scholarships worth $10,000 a students who wish to pursue their master’s degree in education in any university in the USA.

To be able to apply, you must be a single woman with no person to support you financially, must be aged between 25 and 30, must be one of the best in your class academically, you must also have completed your undergraduate studies.

Monash International Student Awards

Monash University is generous awarder of so many scholarships and has so many scholarship programs.
We are going to be talking about one of those programs namely the International merit awards, that is a scholarship available for very outstanding and academically talents international students for undergraduate and postgraduate students of foreign nations who are studying or wish to study at the University of Monash.

The worth of the scholarship award is from $50000 to $100000, which will be paid for the full-time study of the student. People eligible for the scholarship include Undergraduate or postgraduate students, commencing or continuing students in the University of Monash, are eligible for this award.

Please note that only international students are eligible and so allowed to apply.

Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program

Another country that is very popular for its free university tuition system if France which makes higher institutions of learning very affordable to the people who study at its universities. Campus France is an institution that grants international students the access to apply for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship program, which is a very special scholarship program in France that caters to both Masters and PhD
Programs,

provided the applicants are up to 30 years and 35 years respectively. The benefits of the program include a monthly allowance, paid return trip, and health insurance benefits.

DAAD Scholarships with Relevance to Developing Countries (Germany)

Yet another country that offers tuition-free education is Germany where they only pay being the so- called semester contribution that is about €400 to €700 maximum, making it a favorite for international students.

They have a scholarship program called DAAD Scholarships that is available for graduate and postgraduate courses for students from developing countries.

The scholarship most favorable for young students from Asia, Africa, some parts of America and Eastern Europe. The DAAD scholarship is the
biggest scholarship provider in Germany and has provided a record number of scholarships to international students. They have a very reliable database that provides credible information on their latest scholarship programs, how to apply for these scholarships and other important facts.

Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships

It’s actually nice to seek Education in Switzerland but the living costs is a major problem that scare international students and also the fact that the students aren’t allowed to work.

The government makes up for this in its own way by introducing the Swiss Government excellence scholarships loved by students from all backgrounds. Selected students have the opportunity to follow postdoctoral or doctoral research in any field at any public supported university or recognized institution in the country.
The prestigious Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships was designed for academically talented young students who have completed a master’s degree or Ph.D. or holding a bachelor’s degree.

The benefits of this amazing scholarship include tuition fees, a monthly allowance, and a good health insurance policy.

Danish Government Scholarships

Naturally, the living cost and cost of education in Denmark is far too expensive for anybody to handle alone. If you love the country so much and wish to study and grow in the country, then this scholarship is just for you, it is for students willing to follow full degree higher education programs at Danish universities.

The program covers for living expenses and full or partial tuition fee to take care of its amazing student population. Please note that it is only for a few countries that can access the scholarship for now, they are Brazil, China, Japan, Egypt, the Republic of South Korea and Russia.

Fulbrigth Foreign Scholarships

Please note that this particular scholarship is for a Master’s or PhD degree. Approximately 4,000 foreign students receive Fulbright scholarships each year, that’s a whopping number, but yes, it’s that cool and amazing. It covers for tuition, course materials, back and forth airfare, living stipend allowance, and health insurance.

Chinese Government Scholarships

The Chinese government has always been one of the best scholarship providers and dedicates a large amount toward empowering students from developing countries.

If you want to study an English degree program in China, apply in March or April for any of the Chinese government scholarships. The program covers most of the needed costs to study in China including an amazing health insurance benefit and so much more.

Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships

This prestigious scholarship grants about 800 students the ability to study for postgraduate study and professional development in the UK each year. They are available at designated UK universities and are open for undergraduate, masters and PhD programs.

Chevening Scholarships

This is a very prestigious scholarship; the Chevening Scholarships are awarded to approximately 1,500 individuals every year, which is a large number.

It offers full financial support to study for a Master’s degree at any of the best universities in the UK, I really recommend this scholarship, and it’s one of my favorites.

The Dr. Marc Hull Special Education Leadership Scholarship

This particular scholarship was created in honor of a former Vermont commissioner of education who created learning opportunities for students with disabilities. Applicants are selected on grounds of academic achievements, leadership potentials, and recommendation letters.
