Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has opposed the result released INEC in the just concluded presidential election given a breakdown of the votes he believed he had obtained in each of the 36 states with FCT inclusive.


Mr Abubakar released the figures in his petition against the outcome of the election filed on Monday, which challenges the declaration of Muhammadu Buhari of the Progressives Congress as the winner of the election.

Recall that INEC On FEB23 declared the incumbent President Buhari winner after winning in 19 states with a total of 16,191,847 votes and defeating Mr Abubakar,(PDP) who won in 18 states with a total of 12,262,978 votes.

However, in his petition, Mr Abubakar claimed that the “true, actual and correct” results upon state state computation pitched him as the winner in 21 states with 18,356,732 votes excluding Rivers State, and Buhari 15 states with total of 16,741,430 votes.
