Types of Rotary Foundation Scholarships

Global Grant Scholarship

The Peace Scholarship

The peace scholarships is awarded to students who wish to pursue a two-year master’s degree or certificate in international relations, peace, and conflict resolution at one of the Rotary Centers for International Studies. The scholarships are tenable at the following study Locations, Duke University (NC, USA), University of Uppsala (Sweden), Japan, England, and Australia. It is famed as one of the best rotary foundation scholarships.

The Faculty Scholarship

The faculty scholarships is a rather unique scholarship and deserves the position as the best rotary foundation scholarship, the scholarship will require you To teach in a low-income country as a lecturer, earning around  $12,500 for 3–5 months or $22,500 for 6–10 months of service. Ambassadorial Scholarships:

This is the rotary’s foundation oldest and most popular program and it has held the position of bets rotary foundation scholarship many times. Since its founding in 1947, more than 30,000 men and women from 100 nations have studied abroad under it.

It is currently the world’s largest privately funded international scholarships program with More than 1,200 scholarships awarded for study in 2000 to 2001. The Ambassadorial Scholarships program is designed to foster international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries.

The program seeks to fund several types of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for qualified professionals pursuing vocational studies.  While in their study countries, the beneficiaries are required to act as ambassadors of goodwill to the people of the host country and give presentations about their homelands to Rotary clubs and other groups in the study countries to help give a better understanding of their cultures to these foreign nations.

When the scholars return to their home countries, they are expected to share with their fellow Rotarians and others at home the experiences they had during their study to help give their home country a better understanding of their host countries. The most popular ambassadorial scholarship grant is the Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarships, which provides funding for one academic year of study in another country of their choice. The scholarship award covers the following; round-trip transportation, tuition fees, room and board expenses, and some educational supplies up to US$25,000 or its equivalent, it also takes care of extra costs that may come up in the course of the study.
