The Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec) has declared the House of Assembly election in Okpokwu Local Government in Benue State inconclusive.
Concise News understands that governorship and House of Assembly elections in Benue State took place on Saturday.
However, Inec has declared that of Okpokwu as inconclusive due to some alleged irregularites and violionce during the exercise.
This means that there will be a re-run in a yet-to-be-announced date in the North-Central state.
The race is majorly between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Anthony Agom and Theresa Ikwue of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a related development, Governor Samuel Ortom of the PDP has taken the lead in state with the full result expected before the day runs out.
