The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Tim Owhefere has won the Delta State House of Assembly seat for Isoko North.
Concise News understands that Owhefere, is the Majority leader of the Delta State House of Assembly.
Also, the PDP won the seat to the House of Assembly for Ukwuani Local Government in the exercise held on Saturday.
The result was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec), Local Government Collation Officer, Victor Okonji.
According to Okonji, the PDP candidate Christopher Ochor Ochor got 17,536 to defeat his closest rival, Eze Omolu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who scored 7,172 votes.
In his reaction to the win, Ochor Ochor, lauded Ukwuani people for voting the PDP.
“I have to first of all thank God, and the people of Ukwuani for voting for the Peoples Democratic Party candidates,” he said.
“As I had promised them that I will give them good representation, they should expect it.”
“The winning of PDP in Ukwuani, means more dividend of democracy will come to the area, as I will join His Excellency, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to pursue the SMART Agenda of the government.”
