The Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) has mocked Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State following the governorship election.
Okorocha who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) backed his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance (AA) for the post.
However, the result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec) showed that Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the election.
Speaking on the outcome of the polls, Concise News understands that the pro-Biafra group said Imo people have rejected tyranny.
“The people of Imo State did not vote PDP but voted for the candidate, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha,” the statement added.
“The people of the State resisted the Lagos type of politics where one man is lord over the people.
“The outgoing Governor of Imo State wanted Uche Nwosu because he married his daughter.
“The Governor-elect, Ihedioha must consider the interest of the people of the State first before his political interest.”
