Scholarships for undergraduates

Scholarships based on general merit

Undergraduate international students can receive one merit-based scholarship. There is no separate application for these awards. Students sponsored by their home countries are not eligible for these awards.

Students can receive one of the following scholarships. They will receive the highest scholarship that they qualify for.

Award of the International President

If awarded the President’s Award scholarship, students will be charged resident (U.S.) tuition rates and save $8,808 per year if they are at the lower level or $9,048 if they are at the upper level (based on the tuition rates for 24 credits per year in 2023/2024). The award is open to students who meet the following criteria.

An overall GPA of 3.3 or higher (on a scale of 4.0)

English proficiency proof

Completed a minimum of 24 college credits (only for incoming transfer students)

Award for International Scholars

The Scholar Award will provide $4,000 per year for four years for incoming freshmen and $4,000 per year for three years for transfer students who meet the following criteria.

An overall grade point average of 3.0-3.29 (based on a US 4.0 scale)

English proficiency proof

A minimum of 24 college credit hours must be completed (only for incoming transfer students)

Award for International Opportunity

Those who receive the Opportunity Award will receive $1,000 per year for four years. Those who receive the Scholar Award will receive $1,000 per year for three years.

GPA of 2.8-2.9 (on a 4.0 scale in the US)

English proficiency proof

A minimum of 24 college credits must be completed (only for incoming transfer students).

Scholarships at Centralis

In the fall, Centralis Honors Scholars are selected from two on-campus essay competitions in which top high school seniors are selected to form the incoming freshman class. There is a limit of spots available for the competition, so pre-registration is required. Winners receive a Centralis Scholarship ranging from full-tuition to a full-ride and a spot in the Honors Scholar Program.

Application Process

To apply, students must register on the university’s online portal and complete the application.

No separate application is required for this scholarship. Accepted students are automatically considered.

Students are required to submit the following supporting documents:

Documents issued by academic institutions

Transcript from high school

Citizenship/Naturalization Certificate

Passport copy

Copy of visa

For admission, students must have a GPA of 2.8-2.99 on a scale of 4.0 or equivalent.

The following English language proficiency tests must be taken by students:

A TOEFL PBT score of 550 or higher is required

A TOEFL IBT score of 213 or higher is required

A TOEFL CBT score of 79 or higher is required

The benefits
