KOGI DECIDES: APC Reaffirms Office In Kogi, Defeats PDP with wide Margin Opposition Kicks

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has on Monday, declared the incumbent governor of Kogi State, Gov. Yahaya Bello as the winner of the governorship election held in the state on Saturday.

Recall that on Saturday 16th November, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, has conducted a Governorship election between 24 political candidates in the state.

According to reports, the opposition party PDP lost the election to the incumbent governor, Yahaya Bello, a candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC who polled a total of 406,222 votes defeating the opposition party PDP which polled 186,704 votes.

A breakdown of the final results declared by the INEC returning Officer Prof Ibrahim Umar Garba, at the collation center in Lokoja, has it that the All Progressive Congress APC won 11 out of 21 LGAs in the state. While the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and its candidate Engr. Musa Wada who 10 out of 21 LGAs.

Although the candidate of the PDP Musa Wada, has rejected the election results stating that the results did not reflect the wishes of the people who willingly cast their votes for him.
