On Saturday, The Nigerian Army said it has smashed all food supply lines belonging to the deadly terrorist group Bokoharam and destroyed six vehicles used in conveying food to their hideouts in Lake Chad and Sambisa Forest.
Confirming this action, Brig-Gen Abd Ibrahim, the Acting General Officer Commanding, 7 Division, Nigerian Army, who supervised the clampdown said 4 persons were also arrested when intercepting the food vans.
According to Brig-Gen Ibrahim, the intercepted food vehicles are four pickup trucks and two Peugeot station wagons.
He also said that intelligeny reports showed that the arrested suspects has been involved in supplying foods and logistics to Bokoharam from Maiduguri.
“They have always transported food and logistics to the terrorist group in their enclaves in Sambisa Forest and Lake Chad region.
“Despite warnings, some of them still continue with the illicit and illegal business of supplying logistics and other materials to Bokoharam,” he said.
Among the four arrested were Abubakar Sadik, Fannami Modu and Modu Chellu residents of Maiduguri.
