Report reaching TALKMILL has it that atleast sixteen persons were killed in a fresh attacks by Armed bandits at Kursasa and Kurya communities in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to a resident whose name Usman Garba, said the armed bandits who he said were heavily equiped with dangerous weapons stormed the villages between 10pm and 11 pm on yesterday to unleash terror attack on the village.
Still speaking, Usman Garba said the armed bandits killed nine persons leaving two persons seriously injured during the process.
Usman Garba also noted that after the attack in the village, the armed bandits moved to a nearby Kurya village where they seized the village leaving seven persons dead including vigilante members who had come on a rescue mission.
Usman Speaking:
“But the vigilante members in Kansas and Kurya came together to form a unifying force against the notoriously armed bandits in which one of the armed bandits was killed in the operation during the fire for fire encounter with the armed bandits.
He, also used the avenue appealed to security operatives, Nigerian army inclusive to come out and end the unending terror.
However, due to the security chalkenges facing the state (Zamfara), the federal government has deployed more troops to the state.
