Man rapes his own daughter in Ogun State

A 45-year old man identified as Idowu Owolabi has been arrested for allegedly raping his 21-year old daughter at Ogun State.

Police command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect, has been having sex with his 21-year daughter despite being his own blood.

The said daughter reported her father on January 28 which led to his arrest.

“The victim has reported that she followed her father to the farm at Fagboun village where her father forcefully had sex with her, this was in March 2018. She went further saying that since then, her father had continuously been having unlawful carnal knowledge of her with a threat that he would kill her if she dared tell anybody about it.

“Upon the report, the DPO Oja-Odan, CSP Olayemi Jacob, led his detectives to Papa Olosun area of Oja-Odan in the Yewa South Local Government Area, where he was said to reside.

“On interrogation, the suspect, who is currently married to three different women, owed up to the crime but as usuall, blames will always be on the devil”.

The case has been transfered to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation and possible prosecution of the suspect.
